ATTACK OF THE HODAG (film showing) — MAY 16, 7PM
The Hodag Heritage Festival is hosting a Friday night showing of Attack of the Hodag! Film director, Bill Rebane (of The Giant Spider Invasion fame), will give a brief history, show the film and follow it with a Q&A session afterwards. Event will be held at The Hilgermann Center for Community in the heart of historical downtown Rhinelander at 25 S. Brown St. Doors open at 6:30 with show starting at 7pm. Seats are limited. Tickets are $20 and only available pre-sale at this link here. Ticket comes with a beverage.
HODAG HORROR INDIE FILM (info session) — MAY 18, 1PM
Join us at the Hilgermann Center in downtown Rhinelander to hear from Aaron Pickelmann, producer and co-writer for a new feature Hodag horror film currently in pre-production! Aaron will be sharing his pitch deck (a presentation used to persuade people to invest in something) for the project and answering questions on what all this production will entail. Event is free and attendees are encouraged to stick around afterwards for the Northwoods Filmmaking Society meetup that starts at 2PM, also at the Hilgermann.
LIST OF CURRENT PROJECTS TO GET INVOLVED IN
FEATURE NARRATIVE — Steve Gustafson is working on his next feature narrative film (The Woods of Bog Lake) as well as another side project and is looking for local collaborators. If interested, you can email him at steve@ebl.org.
DOCUMENTARY & WEB SERIES — Tom and Tony Barnett are working on a documentary about the Oneida County Fair as well as a comedy web series titled “Monster Hunters.” They are looking for collaborators on this project. If interested, you can email Tom at tdbartstudio@gmail.com.
DOCUMENTARY — Andrew Egan is working on a documentary exploring the reality of grief and is looking for connections and possible interview subjects (such as funeral directors, therapists, etc). If interested, you can email him at Andrew@inspiredigitalstudios.com.
